New ~The Goddess Tank

The Goddess of Wisdom tank is my favorite new creation!

Inspiration for the Goddess Tank comes from my obsession with Athena. In Greek religion and mythology, Athena is the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill. Among this long list of skills the Greek philosophers identified her particularly with weaving (hence, the fashion link). Athena is also a shrewd companion of heroes and is the goddess of heroic endeavor. While she is the goddess of just warfare she dislikes fighting, preferring to settle disputes with wisdom.

The Greek philosopher Plato interprets Athena’s name as “divine intelligence.” She has a mind better than the others, particularly concerning moral intelligence.

Athena carries with her the owl. The owl is a symbol of wisdom because the owl is capable of seeing even in the dark and of vigilance because the owl is awake at night.

The owl on the Goddess Tank holds tightly to a kite string, which is attached to a fleur-de-lis key. The fleur-de-lis is a grouping of 3 leaves symbolizing the medieval working classes of those who worked, those who fought, and those who prayed. In modern times most of us find ourselves juggling all 3 of these roles each and every day in one form or another. The key itself represents the ability of all people to tap into the divine insight and wisdom available when we live life with curiosity, generosity, courage and creativity.

Wearing your Goddess Tank remember that you, like Athena are shrewd, vigilant, and a leader!
